Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis (2005)

Abominable junk from beginning to end, this third sequel to the 1985 horror classic is an embarrassment to the overall series.  Shot like a student film and apparently written by someone who has never had human interaction before, there’s really nothing here to enjoy. The acting is truly execrable and distracting (thanks to a failed attempt to pass off Russian and Romanian actors with varying degrees of accents as Americans), and Peter Coyote goes into full Bela-Lugosi-in-an-Ed-Wood-movie mode, stumbling around from frame to frame like he doesn’t quite know what movie he’s in. It’s all just garbage, the type of irredeemable effort that gives horror movies a bad name.
